Street girl to sweet girl

When I first came to the VYG (Victory Youth Group) I was a big mess because of all the things that I’d experienced in life.

I had no vision for my life and was always on the street getting into trouble and when I was at home, I would argue with my family. I held a lot of anger in me and so was disappointed with my life.

I got into ramdom fights with anyone who got on my nerves. I didn't get along with my dad at all so I avoided him. One day, I got into a fight with my dad and kept hitting him until my brother pulled me off him.

I would hang around with friends that brought me no good and was always out at parties. I avoided going home as I didn’t know how to cope with my emotions. I would often miss school to hang around with my friends.

I came to the VYG and then one day I opened up to a the VYG Youth Leader who advised me to let go of the hatred and grudges and to start coming to the youth meetings. That's when things really started to change. He also told me that I wasn't born to suffer so why should I accept the things that were going wrong in my life?

Things have changed with my family and I can now communicate without feeling that they have let me down in life and I can actually look my dad in the eye without having any bad feelings.

I am also focused on my dream and I am working towards it.
